We sailed in at dawn past the observatories on top of Mauna Kea (4,200 meters/~13,780 feet high).

Hawai’i has 12 of the 13 world-wide climatic zones.

More tourists coming to visit?

This is as close as we managed to get to ANY lava... in the distance is
the Pu’u ’O’o vent. This is what leads to the vog at Kailua-Kona.
